We stayed busy this Summer, playing a lot of weddings and our new weekly gig at Café 21 downtown. We’ve been adding some new material to our set, like Baden Powell’s “Berimbau” and “Chan Chan” from Buena Vista Social Club, as well as some new original tunes (and some old ones we’d forgotten about). Last Saturday we played once again at the Mission San Juan Capistrano with percussionist Steve Haney and bassist Sam Johnson for a private event. It’s an awesome setting for a gig, and super fun to play as a quartet! Sam grabbed a photo:

We had a great time at our concert of French music in La Jolla on June 1. Now it’s back to work on an album of original music, to be released this Fall!
